National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership - Level 1
The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML) is a qualification aimed at those in their first years of Middle Leadership and those aspiring to become Middle Leaders hoping to progress into a Middle Leadership position.
NPQML is part of a coherent suite of professional development the focus being on key areas such as Strategy and Improvement, Teaching Curriculum and Excellence, Leading with Impact, Working in Partnership, Managing Resources and Risks and Increasing Capability
On completion of our NPQML you will be equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to drive your team forward.
As with all our programmes, we will offer a unique programme with excellence, critical reflection and high quality school-based practice at its heart. Our tailored programme will ensure your learning is relevant to your needs and offer you the opportunity to work with outstanding leaders.
What is Involved ?
NPQML follows a modular curriculum accredited at Masters level criteria and focuses on developing the knowledge, skills and attributes of a successful senior leader.
To achieve the NPQML qualification you will need to successfully lead an improvement project in your setting over two terms aimed at improving pupil progress and attainment ( Part A) and the capability of your team ( Part B). You then have to submit a written account with supporting evidence that demonstrates how you have met the criteria outlined in the programme.
In addition to this you must attend the 4 full day Face to Face sessions along with other cohort delegates and complete the online modules.
£950 per applicant
Participants from the Independent Schools sector (not including special schools) or school outside England will need to pay an additional £225 external Final Assessment fee.
NPQML dates start on the 7th November 2019.
